Refund & Cancellation Policy

At DJT Security Pvt Ltd, we strive for complete customer satisfaction. This Refund and Cancellation Policy outlines the terms and conditions for refunds, cancellations, and deposit returns for our security services.

Please read this policy carefully and contact us if you have any questions.

1. Security Deposit Refunds

1.1 Refundable Deposits

For Monthly, 3-Month, and 6-Month packages, we require a security deposit of ₹6,000 which is fully refundable when:

  • Service is terminated as per the terms of the agreement
  • All equipment is returned in good working condition
  • There are no outstanding dues or charges
  • Premises are accessible for equipment removal

1.2 Deposit Refund Timeline

Security deposits will be refunded within 7-10 business days after:

  • Equipment has been retrieved and inspected
  • All outstanding payments are settled
  • Final account closure is completed

1.3 Deposit Deductions

Deposits may be partially or fully withheld for:

  • Damaged or missing equipment
  • Unpaid service charges or late fees
  • Early termination fees (if applicable)
  • Equipment not returned within 7 days of service termination

2. Service Cancellation Policy

2.1 Before Service Installation

If you cancel before equipment installation:

  • Within 24 hours: Full refund of all payments
  • 24-48 hours: Refund minus 10% administrative fee
  • After 48 hours: Refund minus 25% if equipment has been procured
  • After installation date: No refund on plan costs, but deposit remains refundable

2.2 Monthly Package Cancellation

For rolling monthly contracts:

  • Provide 30 days written notice
  • Pay monthly charges until service termination date
  • Full deposit refund after equipment return
  • No early termination fees

2.3 Fixed-Term Package Cancellation

For 3-Month, 6-Month, and 1-Year packages:

  • Early termination: No refund on upfront plan costs
  • Monthly charges: Continue until contract completion or pay buyout fee
  • Buyout option: 50% of remaining contract value to terminate early
  • After contract completion: Full deposit refund after equipment return

3. Service Fee Refunds

3.1 Monthly Service Charges

Monthly service charges of ₹3,000 are non-refundable once the service month has commenced. Charges are prorated only in the following circumstances:

  • Service failure due to DJT Security's fault exceeding 48 hours
  • Service not provided as per agreed terms
  • Technical issues attributable to equipment provided by DJT Security

3.2 Plan Cost Refunds

One-time plan costs (₹8,000, ₹15,000, ₹32,000) are generally non-refundable after service commencement. Exceptions include:

  • DJT Security's inability to fulfill service obligations
  • Major breach of service agreement by DJT Security
  • Cancellation before installation (with applicable fees)

4. Special Circumstances

4.1 Service Relocation

If you need to relocate services to a new address:

  • Contact us at least 15 days in advance
  • Relocation is subject to service availability in the new area
  • Relocation fees may apply (starting from ₹2,000)
  • Contract terms remain unchanged

4.2 Force Majeure

In cases of natural disasters, government actions, or other events beyond our control:

  • Services may be temporarily suspended without refund
  • Contract terms may be extended by the suspension period
  • Alternative arrangements will be offered when possible

4.3 Business Closure

If your business permanently closes:

  • Provide documentation of closure
  • Early termination fees may be waived at our discretion
  • Deposit refunded after equipment return
  • Outstanding charges must be settled

5. Refund Processing

5.1 Refund Methods

Refunds will be processed using the same payment method used for the original transaction:

  • Bank transfer/NEFT/RTGS
  • Credit/Debit card (may take 7-14 business days to reflect)
  • Check (for amounts above ₹10,000)

5.2 Refund Timeline

  • Deposit refunds: 7-10 business days after equipment return
  • Service fee refunds: 10-15 business days after approval
  • Pre-installation cancellations: 5-7 business days

5.3 Refund Confirmation

You will receive email confirmation when:

  • Refund request is received and approved
  • Refund is processed to your account
  • Equipment inspection is completed

6. Equipment Return Conditions

To ensure full deposit refund, equipment must be returned in the following condition:

  • Clean and functional: Free from physical damage
  • Complete: All cameras, cables, DVR/NVR, power supplies, and accessories
  • Original condition: Normal wear and tear acceptable, but no modifications
  • Accessible: Premises must be accessible for equipment removal

Unacceptable Conditions

Deposit may be forfeited or reduced for:

  • Water damage, cracked lenses, or broken housing
  • Missing components or accessories
  • Unauthorized modifications or repairs
  • Equipment not returned within 7 days

7. How to Request Cancellation or Refund

To cancel services or request a refund:

  1. Submit Written Notice:

    • Include: Account details, service address, reason for cancellation
  2. Call Our Support Team:

  3. Schedule Equipment Pickup:
    • Coordinate with our team for equipment removal
  4. Receive Confirmation:
    • Get written confirmation of cancellation and refund timeline

8. Non-Refundable Items

The following are not eligible for refund:

  • Completed monthly service charges
  • Consultation fees (if services are not subsequently engaged)
  • Custom installation work already completed
  • Additional services already rendered (maintenance, repairs, upgrades)
  • Late payment fees or interest charges
  • Charges for damaged or unreturned equipment

9. Dispute Resolution

If you disagree with a refund decision:

  1. Contact our customer service team to discuss the issue
  2. Escalate to management if not resolved
  3. Request mediation or third-party review
  4. Legal recourse as per our Terms of Service

We are committed to fair and transparent resolution of all refund disputes.

10. Policy Changes

DJT Security reserves the right to modify this Refund and Cancellation Policy at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website. Existing contracts will remain subject to the policy in effect at the time of agreement.
